How the simulation works

A simulation is a live, hands-on mediation practice where all roles are performed by the participants. You don't just observe — you act.

Here's how it works

At the beginning of the meeting, participants choose their roles: who will be the conflicting parties and who will be the mediator.

Each mediator conducts a session within their allotted time.

After the practice session, the participants and the trainer provide feedback to the mediator.

At the end of the meeting, we hold a question and answer (Q&A) session.

Who will benefit from the simulation?

This format is suitable for both novices and practitioners — everyone will find something of value.
If you are new to mediation

You will see how mediation works: what roles are involved, how the parties react, and how the mediator acts. You will be able to observe and ask questions in a safe space.

If you want to see the process live

This is an opportunity to see the real dynamics of mediation from the inside: how dialogues are constructed, what happens during difficult moments, and how flexibly the mediator responds.

If you are looking to practice

You will have the chance to take on the role of a mediator, work on a real case, and receive feedback from colleagues and experienced practitioners.

Why we are doing this

To introduce more people to mediation, showing how it works, why it's useful, and why it’s worth considering as a method for conflict resolution.

To promote a culture of constructive dialogue, where parties don't fight but instead seek a mutual solution.

To provide an opportunity to practice key mediator techniques and receive feedback.
